Our Mission Accomplished
From the outset, this blog was created to track efforts to overturn Gov. Rick Perry's RP65 executive order requiring little girls to be vaccinated for a sexually transmitted disease. Hopefully, our efforts contributed in some small way to the victory achieved.
While there is more work to be done, many of the groups we've linked to maintain a much broader focus on the whole issue of new vaccines, new mandates, safety issues, etc.
So, for the moment, we'll retire and let others do what they do best: watch the overall landscape for threatening vaccination mandates.
As we see fit, we may update this site in the future.
In the meantime, I've become more interested in the explosive problem of identity theft. I encourage you to visit my new blog tracking all the various developments in the identity theft arena. What I tried to do for the HPV vaccine (become a single point of news) I will also try to do for the horrendous problem of identity theft.

I recommend you consider protecting your identity with LifeLock - the only service that backs up its protection with a $1 million guarantee. Browse their site and sign up here for a 20% discount on their normal rates with promo code IDBLOG.
Many thanks for all the unnamed people that played such an important role in encouraging the Texas Legislature to reject Governor Perry's rash mandate. The momentous uprising by Texas citizens was really a great moment in politics.

Victory - Tonight at Midnight!
Victory - in the hard-fought battle against Gov. Rick Perry's rash mandate to require young girls to be vaccinated for a sexually-transmitted disease.
Tonight, Tuesday, at midnight - the bill will become law. That's because Gov. Perry must sign the bill within 10 days, or it becomes law. The ten days is up tonight.
Gov. Perry has announced he won't veto the bill. Nor will he sign it, but it still becomes law.
Read the news here.
Noteworthy details:
Bowing to legislative pressure, Gov. Rick Perry said Tuesday he won't veto a bill that would block state officials from following his order requiring an anti-cancer vaccine for sixth-grade schoolgirls.

Noteworthy details:
Perry acknowledged the overwhelming disdain of legislators for the mandate and says he'll allow the bill to become law without his signature.
